If you are shopping for new 6-seater trucks, you might be surprised by the number of good options on the market with a front bench seat.
A six-seater or front bench seat was once a staple of full-size trucks, and it has since gone out of fashion with bucket seats becoming more dominant. However, there are still options for larger families who want to haul the family and have a bed for hauling gear.

2024 trucks with a front bench seat
Checking out the various automaker’s websites, I found that some brands offered many options, while one offered none.
Starting alphabetically, the Chevrolet Silverado offers a front-bench seat in the following trims: WT, Custom, Custom TrailBoss, LT, RST and LT TrailBoss.
The WT and Custom are considered work truck trims with the TrailBoss offering more off-road capability. For consumers, the LT is the base Silverado trim, and the upper trim RST has bench seats as well.
Next, the GMC Sierra offers bench seats for: Pro, SLE, Elevation and SLT. This is nearly identical to the Silverado except with no off-road-equipped trim.
Ford F-150 offers just two trims with bench seats and they are the XL and XLT. The XL is the work truck trim and the XLT is the top volume-seller trim for consumers.
Next, the Ram 1500 offers a few trims with bench seats like the Tradesman, Big Horn and Laramie. This means you can get a work truck trim plus two different consumer trims, including the Laramie, with leather.
Finally, the Toyota Tundra isn’t offered with front bench seats, with every model seating 5 passengers.
The bottom line
While 6-seater trucks have fallen out of favor, I was pretty surprised to see many options for consumers. Sure, it sucks you can’t get every truck trim with a front bench seat, but at least you have more options than a base work truck interior.
