While the Poiestar 4 has already cruising around the streets of Europe and Australia for a few months, it’s just now making its way to the U.S. Market. Making its North American debut at the New York Auto Show, Polestar has announced what packages will be available at launch (standardized into various models throughout the range, pricing for the entire lineup, and EPA-estimated range.
The Polestar 4 is positioned between the Polestar 3 and Polestar 3 in terms of both price and size, is the brand’s second SUV, and will be the third model in the lineup. Polestar is opening the orderbooks in April 2024, with first customer deliveries taking place before the end of the year.
Polestar 4 Performance And Charging
As you’d expect, the level of performance depends on whether you go with the single-motor or dual-motor models. The single-motor Polestar 4 is good for 272 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque, enough for a 7.4-second sprint to 60 mph. This model does feature the same battery pack as the dual-motor variant, so single motor models can go up to 300 miles on a single charge.
The Long-Range Dual-Motor models hit the ground with 544 horsepower and 506 pound-feet of torque.
This power output is enough to make the Polestar 4 the fastest car the company has produced to date with a 0-60 mph sprint of 3.8 seconds.
All models feature the same maximum DC charging rate of 200 kW.

Polestar 4 Pricing, Standard Features, And “Optional” Packages
The Polestar 4 is priced between $54,900 and $72,900, with a total of eight trim levels available – four of which are RWD and four of which are AWD. It comes standard with an array of high-tech and desirable features, even at the base level. Highlights include the 20-inch V-spoke wheels, 36 parking camera, panoramic glass roof, power tailgate, and a digital key. If you’re interested in the optional packages, however, you’ll find you need to do more than just check a box on the order form.
Polestar doesn’t really offer “optional” packages like a lot of other automakers. Instead, these packages are baked right into the trim levels. For example, you can order the Long-Range Single Motor Pilot pack or a Long-Range Single Motor Plus Pack. The same goes for the dual-motor models, however, when you opt for the more expensive dual-motor variants the pilot pack comes standard at the base level.
