The 2024 Harley-Davidson Street Glide and Road Glide take design cues from the 2023 CVO Street Glide and Road Glide models, retaining a distinct yet familiar design language bound to glide into your heart.

The 2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide replaces twin oval headlights with a massive all-LED unit, housed in a sharper shark-nose fairing. On the other hand, the 2024 Harley-Davidson Street Glide gets an omega-shaped headlight with LED DRLs on its sides, housed in a revamped batwing fairing. Both motorcycles get sleeker saddlebags and fenders, too. The motorcycles look stunning, although it can be argued that the Street Glide has lost a bit of its traditional appeal.

According to Harley, the upgrading fairings also improve comfort and reduce helmet buffeting by 60%. Even the rear suspension gets 50% more travel and the saddle is redesigned to offer more support for the long haul. Considering how comfortable these motorcycles already are, we can’t wait to experience the new models. We’ll be sure to drink strong coffee beforehand.

The Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin Is Punchier And Runs Cooler

The 2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide and Street Glide are powered by the Milwaukee Eight 117 V-twin engine, which gets a few nifty upgrades this year. The biggest update is in the cooling system, which Harley-Davidson claims improves thermal comfort for the rider. This is needed, considering how hot the rear cylinder on these motorcycles runs sometimes.

The American brand also claims the reworked intake and exhaust flow boosts performance, but since power figures haven’t been announced yet, we still have to wait to see just how much performance boost the bikes get. For reference, the 2023 Street Glide and Road Glide produce 86 HP and 109 LB-FT.

Goodbye Analog Cluster, The TFT Takes Care Of It All Now

In both the 2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide and Street Glide, the analog cluster is eliminated and replaced with a massive 12.3-inch TFT color touch screen. The cluster also replaces many switches on the handlebars, giving the cockpit a modern and minimalistic look.

While Harley-Davidson hasn’t released any details about the instrument cluster yet, it’s safe to assume that it will come with various viewing modes, widgets, Ride Planner turn-by-turn navigation, and smartphone connectivity, as it did on the 2023 CVO models. What Harley did confirm is that the 2024 models feature a 200-watt audio amplifier that powers the fairing-mounted speakers.
