And if you thought the SX and SX-F ranges were formidable enough, get ready for some exciting news. The KTM SX and SX-F lineups are being updated for 2025. These bikes focus on addressing the niggles while also improving performance, composure, and comfort. Oh, and a fan favorite rejoins the stable for 2025.

A More Flexible Latest-Gen Chassis

Frame Type: Central Double-Cradle-Type 25CrMo4 Steel

The biggest update the 2025 SX and SX-F ranges get is in the frame department. According to some riders, the previous-gen SX and SX-F (along with the EXC range) motorcycles were too stiff and heavier around the headstock. Fortunately, KTM has considered this feedback, fixing it with an updated frame for next year.

The new frame has a reworked front triangle, stock mounts, and wall thickness, all of which promise to improve control and comfort. According to KTM, the new updates improve chassis flex while maintaining stability and improving cornering behavior. This frame is also lighter by 0.66 pounds and pairs with an updated swingarm that has a machined chain slider.

Ready To Race Underpinnings Get Better

Apart from the frame, the 2025 range also gets other updates. Here, the suspension comes with the biggest improvement. The rear WP XACT shock gets an updated linkage with new seals and smaller diameter linkage bolts, which, according to KTM, comes directly from the brand’s Factory MX team. The setup is said to aid weight savings and stiffness, and to complement this, the front WP XACT AER fork has reworked settings for more flex.

Other Improvements To The Range

• New tank shrouds with bi-composite plastics that improve cooling and add visual flair
• Updated fuel tank roll to protect the frame against wear while improving fitment
• Air inlet sleeve is now a one-piece part and manufactured using stiffer materials
• New exhaust that improves midrange torque and overall performance
• New Dunlop Geomax MX34 motocross tires that last 30% longer and feature Progressive Cornering Block Technology
• New Connectivity Unit Offroad as a PowerParts option along with a compatible front fender

The KTM 150 SX has been off the shelves for two years, and it was sorely missed. Fortunately, KTM is bringing it back for 2025. This 150-class motocross bike features a lightweight chassis — now improved — and a punchy two-stroke engine with a ton of improvements. The new 150 SX features overhauled components that enhance performance with better torque delivery and improved riding experience.
