The MDX is a very important product for Acura, which is why the company has refreshed it extensively for the 2025 model year. “The performance brand’s flagship and the best-selling three-row luxury SUV of all-time”, as Acura puts it, comes with some tweaks to the exterior and interior, and additions like the AcuraWatch 360 driver assistance tech to certain trims and packages.
The premium Japanese automaker has also brought two new exterior shades this time around. No changes are made under the hood, which makes sense considering this is just a ‘refresh’ at the end of the day. Here’s what the 2025 Acura MDX is all about.

What An Electric Acura NSX Needs To Corner The Electric Supercar Market
Acura’s newest concept car looks strikingly similar to the NSX. Here is what an electric version would need.
Up To 355 Horsepower At Your Disposal
The standard MDX continues to be powered by a 3.5-liter, V-6 engine that makes 290 horses and 267 pound-feet of torque. Upgrade to the Type S model and you get 355 horses and 354 pound-feet of torque at your disposal, courtesy of a 3.0-liter, turbocharged V-6 mill. Both the engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox, although the one in the Type S is sport-tuned.
