Oh, how the truck world has mocked the Honda Ridgeline. "It's not a truck," they say. To be fair, the Ridgeline isn't a traditional truck, and falls short in some pretty important truck categories. The reason? The Ridgeline utilizes a unibody design as opposed to a more traditional body-on-frame design. The main real-world consequences of this engineering decision have to do with towing and payload capacity. The Ridgeline does lag behind in these categories, but if towing is a top priority, a full-size pickup might be the better place to invest your money.
