[ad_1]

Summary

  • Indian announces 2025 Scout lineup with five models and three trim levels for diverse rider needs.
  • Scout Classic and Super Scout offer retro design with chrome elements and wire-spoke wheels for nostalgia.
  • Modern siblings, Scout Bobber and Sport Scout, feature alloy wheels, blacked-out mechanicals, and model-specific changes.

Think of iconic American cruiser bikes and the Indian Scout is sure to pop up. It’s a moniker that first debuted way back in 1919, and then received constant refinements to be what it is today: a capable, likable, and lovable cruiser. Now, the Scout is ready for its next metamorphosis. Indian has announced the 2025 Scout lineup with numerous revisions in all aspects (performance, features, design). There are five models–101 Scout, Scout Bobber, Sport Scout, Super Scout, and Scout Classic–along with three trim levels. Mike Dougherty, President of Indian Motorcycle, sets the mood by explaining:

As our top-selling platform, Scout has long been a staple in our lineup. And while riders around the world love the current Scout offering, we’re excited to take it to the next level and continue its evolution with a robust offering of models to meet the diverse needs of our global riding community.

The Indian Scout Classic And Super Scout Wave The Heritage Flag

It wouldn’t be a Scout if there weren’t at least a couple of properly retro trims, right? That duty is served by the Scout Classic and Super Scout for MY25. Both motorcycles look super retro, courtesy of simple yet exuberant elements. They have oodles of chrome, be it on the engine, headers, mirrors, headlight, or turn signals.

Then, there’s the set of wire-spoke wheels for an added old-school touch. It’s a design that’s perfect for all of you with retro fever. Our only gripe is the new chunky exhaust. It looks nowhere near as cool as the outgoing dual-shotgun-style setup.

And The Scout Bobber And Sport Scout Bring A Modern Touch To The Lineup

Next, we have the modern siblings. The Scout Bobber and Sport Scout both boast a comparatively modern aesthetic than their classic brethren. They ride on distinct alloy wheels, topped with blacked-out mechanicals for a sexy, sporty feel. Also, the standard chrome mirrors make way for upside-down bar-end mirrors while the headlight has different casings here.

You get a bucket fairing on the Sport Scout and a chunky nacelle on the Bobber. The final difference is the bodywork. Out goes the curvy tank of the classics, and in comes an angular tank on this duo. Similarly, short, chopped fenders replace the long, curvy units on You Know Who.

In addition, these two have model-specific changes too. The Sport Scout has different ergonomics, thanks to six-inch moto riser bars and a 19-inch front wheel (all other three have 16-inch wheels). Whereas, the Bobber has a slammed two-inch suspension up top for a low, aggressive stance.

Finally, let’s talk features. There are three trims–Standard, Limited, and Limited + Tech–for the Classic, Bobber, and Sport models, with a few fixed inclusions.

Standard Trim

  • New digi-analog instrument cluster (it now shows fuel efficiency)
  • All-LED lights
  • Dual-channel ABS

Limited Trim (in addition to Standard features)

  • Traction control
  • Cruise control
  • Three ride modes (Sport, Standard, and Tour)
  • USB charger

Limited + Tech Trim (on top of previous inclusions)

  • Four-inch TFT instrument cluster
  • Ride Command turn-by-turn navigation
  • Ride Command+ app connectivity features
  • Push-button start
  • Keyless ignition

What about the Super Scout, you ask? That already comes armed with Limited + Tech trim from the factory. It also boasts a windscreen, leather saddlebags, and a pillion saddle (optional on others), which make this the second most loaded Scout as standard. What’s the most loaded? The one we’re about to talk about next!

Sitting at the top of the lineup is the Indian 101 Scout. It’s the most loaded cruiser in the lineup in all aspects. Design-wise, it differs from its siblings via a muscular fairing up top and golden touches on the suspension. This is topped by dual-tone alloy wheels, a six-inch moto handlebar, a custom gunfighter saddle, and the Limited + Tech pack for extra oomph.

Then, there’s the equipment. The 101’s suspension comprises fully adjustable USD forks and gas-charged shock absorbers. Complementing this is a set of dual 320 mm front disc brakes, clamped by four-piston Brembo calipers. In contrast, the other four come with telescopic forks, conventional rear shocks, and a single 298 mm front disc with a two-piston Brembo caliper.

Even with all the trims and models, there’s one thing common between all five bikes: the new engine. It’s a 1,250cc (76 cubic-inch) V-twin engine–7 cubic inches bigger than before–armed with liquid cooling, a six-speed transmission, and a 12.5:1 compression ratio. All this helps it put out 105 horsepower and 82 pound-feet–a sizable 5 and 10 up from the outgoing Scout models. While this is the output of the Sport, Classic, Bobber, and Super Scout, Indian has altered the engine to churn out 111 horsepower for the top-shelf 101 Scout.
