The 2025 Hyundai Tucson revealed at the New York International Auto Show gets a refreshed design and a lot of tech upgrades. So, here’s a quick look at some of the new features that will be available on this small SUV.
Infotainment upgrade
Similar to the just-revealed 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz, the refreshed Tucson gets a new infotainment system. This includes a curved display with two hoodless 12.3-inch screens – one behind the wheel and one on the center stack – as standard fare. Plus, with this upgraded system comes wireless (finally!) Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Hyundai said this new system has faster processing times, enhanced colors and sharper graphics.
USB-C ports throughout
The move from USB-A ports continues, and the 2025 Hyundai Tucson moves to USB-C ports in both the front and back. These charging ports will have improved 27-watt charging capability. Wireless charging will also be available in the front.
Available head-up display
The 2025 Hyundai Tucson gets a new available 12-inch head-up display with premium graphics. What’s really cool: The HUD will display turn-by-turn graphics via CarPlay or Auto when the vehicle is equipped with the on-board navigation system.
Digital Key 2 available
Rolled out in the 2024 Santa Fe, the Digital Key 2 now makes an appearance in the refreshed Tucson. This means you can ditch the key fob and just use your phone as a key in trims where this is available. What’s really cool, this feature is included with the Bluelink services, which means its free.
Forward Attention Warning added to 2025 Hyundai Tucson
Another big tech addition is going to be the infrared camera that sits atop the steering column. This will track the driver’s eye gaze and monitor attention levels. If the driver isn’t paying attention and doesn’t respond to prompts, the system can bring the vehicle to a stop while activating hazard lights and the park brake once the vehicle is stopped.
The bottom line
Though the powertrains remain unchanged (you’ll still get the straight gas, hybrid and plug-in hybrid options), this 2025 Hyundai Tucson gets a nice design refresh and is loaded with tech. We’ll see the gas models start rolling into dealerships in June, while the hybrid and PHEV models will arrive late summer. No word on pricing yet.
