The 2024 Honda Prologue Starts At $47,400 Before Tax Credits
It Tops Out At $57,900
Honda has always been known to offer excellent value for money with its cars and the new 2024 Honda Prologue is no exception. There are six variants to choose from, and all of these offer a good number of features and performance for their MSRPs. It also must be noted that by opting for the Prologue, you also get a vehicle that has a lower base price compared to the Blazer EV–which is its mechanical twin.
It Effectively Starts At Under $40,000
Just how much value do you get out of the Honda Prologue? A lot actually for its base price of $47,400. However, put the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit from the Inflation Reduction Act into the equation, and you’re looking at a Honda electric crossover SUV for just $39,900. That’s a heck of a value for an electric crossover SUV with a good amount of range, which we’ll be getting into detail later. It must be noted, though, that a Tesla Model Y starts at just $36,490 with the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit taken into account.
296 Miles Of Range Comes As Standard
Just how much range do you get for your 2024 Prologue? Well, with 296 miles of EPA-estimated range right off the bat, the Prologue has one of the longest ranges in its segment. The Model Y, however, can do 310 miles and the Blazer EV RS can do even more at 324 miles, though the Chevrolet RS-badged twin is much more expensive.
The 296-mile range, however, is for the front-wheel drive (FWD) models with 212 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. Splurging for the dual-motor AWD with 288 horsepower and 333 pound-feet of torque reduces the range to 281 miles in the Touring AWD or 273 miles in the Elite AWD due to its larger 21-inch wheels. With an 85 kWh lithium-ion battery, the Prologue accepts up to 11.5 kW in AC, and 155 kW in DC fast charging. You’ll also probably be glad to know that there aren’t any optional extras to talk about, so selecting the Prologue you desire is as simple as it could get.

No Shortage Of Equipment
This is a Honda we’re talking about, so it won’t be a surprise to find out that you do get a generous serving of features whichever of the six variants you choose. It also certainly helps that the Prologue is a fundamentally great-looking electric crossover SUV, to begin with, even with its simple looks.
Simple But Timeless Exterior
The 2024 Honda Prologue’s design is simple and understated yet well-proportioned. It follows Honda’s current design language that’s characterized by a look that’s meant to age well, as opposed to following a current design trend like the Equinox EV.
Admittedly, however, the simple design calls for larger wheels to look proportional, because while all variants come with features such as LED exterior lighting, as well as keyless entry and start, just to name a few, the EX and Touring only come with 19-inch wheels, which look a wee bit tiny relative to its chunky body. It’s only when you get the range-topping Elite variant that features the nicer 21-inch wheels.
Apart from these exterior features, nothing much else separates the three variants, apart from the LED foglights, welcome light for the powered tailgate’s kick sensor, and roof rails that are standard in the Touring and Elite. Unique to Elite, however, are the aforementioned 21-inch wheels and the wing mirror-mounted puddle lamps.

An Interior Focused On Ergonomics
Like the exterior, the interior of the 2024 Honda Prologue won’t wow you that much. It’s once again focused on simplicity just like the rest of the Honda range, though this is where you’ll start to spot a few pieces that are from the GM parts bin.
While the interior quality is pretty good with nice, soft-touch materials, gloss black trims in just a few areas, as well as some nice contrast stitching, some of the switchgear such as the door handles and the side panel buttons are straight out of GM land. It’s also an interior that’s perhaps too simple without much of a sense of style, but where it lacks in style, it makes up for simplicity and ergonomics due to the numerous physical controls and knobs that make interior operation a lot easier.
Once again, the two screens that consist of an 11-inch digital gauge cluster and an 11.3-inch infotainment system are running a reskinned version of GM’s latest Google-based operating system. The said infotainment comes with both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. The seats, by the way, are trimmed in fabric and come with heating and driver-only power adjustment for the base EX.
Opting for the Touring and above gives you leather upholstery in the seats and steering, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a panoramic moonroof, power adjustment for the front passenger’s seat, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system. Lastly, the poshest Elite gets front seat ventilation, LED mood lighting in the footwells, doors, and cupholders, and a head-up display.
