Premium 4-door cars are loaded with arguably the best interior features of any vehicle segment, packed with the latest tech, offer loads of cargo space (those trunks are enormous), gain potent powertrains with handling inline with high-performance coupes and probably more all-electric torque than is necessary. Plus, the sleek, sporty styling really sets them apart.
Here are some of the best luxury electric sedans currently on the market. They’re not cheap, but neither is hitting the gas pump.
Karma Gyesera

Fresh off its global debut at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, Karma’s latest EV is this handsome near-600 horsepower 4-door, sporting carbon-fiber and aluminum bodywork. It produces more power than the Karma GS-6 Series (also making this list of best luxury EV sedans), which already produced a respectable 536 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque while perhaps paying homage to the original Fisker Karma in terms of design. But the Gyesera is promising much more.
The 2025 Karma Gyesera sets a new benchmark in the electric luxury sedan market with its performance, innovation, and design blend. It boasts a range of over 250 miles, accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4.2 seconds, and reaches a top speed of over 135 mph, powered by a 120 kWh high-voltage battery and delivering 590 horsepower and 693 lb-ft of torque. With all that aluminum spaceframe, carbon fiber, and aluminum body panels, its construction emphasizes durability and lightweight efficiency, coupled with an aluminum SLA suspension system, ensuring a smooth and responsive ride.

Porsche Taycan

Porsche’s first-ever EV enters its next generation. The 2025 Porsche Taycan made its global debut in Toronto at the Canadian International Auto Show, with the German automaker keen to highlight just how far it will go with its flagship EV. A newer 105kWh Performance Plus battery raises the usable power to 97 kWh, adding extra juice. Then, there are the redesigned aerodynamics of the wheels and tires that deliver a paltry 0.22 drag coefficient.
The Turbo S version has 938 horsepower and 818 lb-ft of torque that can hit 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in just 2.4 seconds — so long as you get the Sport Chrono package. The Taycan Turbo has many of the same features, except it’s limited to 871 hp and 693 lb-ft of torque. Then there’s the Taycan 4S, which can go to 536 hp or 590 hp, depending on which battery is inside.

Mercedes-Benz EQS

Mercedes-Benz has embarked on an ambitious journey to expand its electric vehicle lineup in North America by introducing the EQ series, starting with the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS. This flagship electric sedan, launched in Fall 2021, is powered by a substantial 107.8 kWh battery; the EQS delivers up to 385 kW (516 horsepower) and 630 lb-ft of torque, enabling a swift acceleration from 0-100 km/h in approximately 4.3 seconds and reaching a top speed of 210 km/h.
The interior of the EQS sets a new standard for electric luxury, featuring an even more sophisticated iteration of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system. Audi e-tron GT quattro & RS e-tron GT

The e-tron GT Quattro offers 470 horsepower (523 with overboost) and 472 lb-ft of torque, while the RS version boosts this to 590 horsepower (637 with overboost) and 612 lb-ft, with both achieving rapid acceleration thanks to all-wheel drive.
The interior of the e-tron GT features a futuristic design with a clean, angular aesthetic. Taking the Taycan range to new levels, Porsche introduced an all-electric cross-utility vehicle to the relatively new family of sedans. Sporting a long roofline and increased ride height, the new Porsche EV offers more interior space, flexibility, and increased versatility over the other Taycan models. It features an advanced 800-volt electrical system—significantly higher than the typical 400 volts in most electric cars, ranging from 610 V to 835 V. It’s equipped with a Performance Battery Plus, comprised of 33 cell modules with 12 individual cells each, totaling 396 cells and a capacity of 93.4 kWh.
According to Porsche, the Cross Turismo model is built for gravel roads and routes that veer off the pavement. By increasing the ground clearance and optimizing the suspension, coupled with a specific CUV drive mode, the new Taycan Cross Turismo ramps up performance, driving dynamics, and overall stability. So, as it stands, the Taycan lineup grew to five models, including the trio first released: the Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo, and range-topping Taycan S.

Lucid Air

Newark, California-based Lucid Motors not only unveiled their new Air luxury electric sedan first teased back in 2016 but also with fully disclosed pricing, which, in turn, wasn’t all that expensive. That continues with 2024 models starting at around only $70k, topping out at $109,900 for the Air Grand Touring. Even their new Lucid Gravity SUV won’t break the bank.
Designed to redefine the standards of electric mobility, the Lucid Air boasts remarkable achievements in power and efficiency. The vehicle’s electric powertrain can deliver up to 1,080 horsepower in its Dream Edition, propelling it from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. All this with one of the longest driving ranges on the market, with certain models capable of exceeding 500 miles on a single charge, according to EPA estimates. Efficient charging is a hallmark of the Lucid Air, offering up to 300 miles of range in just 20 minutes with DC fast charging through its advanced 900+ volt system.
The interior redefines luxury with a spacious, minimalist design, highlighted by a 34-inch curved Glass Cockpit 5K display for an unparalleled infotainment experience. With premium materials, state-of-the-art ADAS, and seamless smartphone integration, the Lucid Air merges luxury and technology effortlessly, maintaining its status as a top luxury EV into 2024.

Karma GS-6 Series

Karma did away with the Revero GT nameplate from 2020, replaced by the nearly identical and renamed GS-6 Series in 2021. This includes the GS-6, GS-6L, and GS-6S trio – all plugin hybrids and not all-electric.
Back then, CarBuzz reports, “The GS-6 now begins at $85,700, including the $1,800 destination charge and before any state and federal tax credits. Previously, the Revero GT began at nearly $147,000. Later this year (2021), the all-electric GSe-6 will debut with a starting price of $79,900 and $100 deposits are now being taken. An all-new Karma crossover is also coming. But today, the focus is on the more affordable GS-6 Series, an extended-range electric vehicle, or EREV.”
The range-topping GS-6S gains 22-inch chrome wheels paired with a Brembo brake setup, compared to the silver 21 inches on the GS-6 and GS-6L. Power comes from a 1.5L turbo engine to juice up the 28-kWh battery pack, all good for a whopping 536 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. The extended range is stated at 360 miles.
