Of course, this will be more of a luxury truck than some of the others on this list, so expect a steeper price. Current pricing for the Denali Edition 1 sits around $107,000 starting MSRP.

5 Fisker Alaska EV – Could Fisker Compete With An Electric Truck?

The new Fisker EV lineup is moving quickly with two brand-new electric vehicles, the Ocean SUV and now the Alaska truck. Photos of the new truck weren’t supposed to be shared yet, but they were (how could that happen, wink), which means the world knows about the new truck’s existence. This would be Fisker’s first electric truck offered, so there is a lot riding on Alaska. However, with this segment becoming increasingly more profitable to manufacturers, we aren’t surprised an EV company hopped on the bandwagon.

6 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid – This Could Be The First Midsize Hybrid Truck

Toyota is on a hybrid kick, adding i-Force Max powertrains to everything from the Tundra down to the 4Runner. The new Toyota Tacoma Hybrid could be the first of the midsize hybrid pickup trucks to hit the market. Toyota has already proven it has the hybrid know-how to make this happen.

You don’t have a PHEV option with this release, although we’re sure Toyota will consider it (or simply go electric) in the future. Toyota positioned the electric motor between the engine and transmission to provide added power to the wheels at all times. Although this makes the Tacoma Hybrid a traditional hybrid truck, it adds power and efficiency to this impressive new pickup.
