The Audi Q7 and Q8 have been recalled after a manufacturing defect was discovered, where the front passenger airbag may not deploy correctly.
Audi Australia has recalled 82 examples of the 2023 Q7 and Q8 SUVs, due to a manufacturing fault which could cause the front passenger airbag to not correctly deploy.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to a manufacturing defect, the front passenger airbag may not have been installed correctly.
“In the event of airbag deployment in an accident, the airbag may not provide sufficient protection for the front seat passenger which could increase the risk of injury or death.”
