More than 3800 Skoda Superb and Octavia models have been recalled in Australia due to a heat shield that may have been incorrectly fitted.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to a manufacturing issue, the heat shield between the brake master cylinder and the exhaust may have been incorrectly fitted. As a result, a connection to the brake fluid reservoir could melt.”
