As one of 400 Heritage Edition models, this Defender represents one of the final examples of the classic Land Rover shape.
A 2015 Land Rover Defender 110 Heritage Edition currently owned by British actor Rowan Atkinson – of Mr Bean and Johnny English fame – is set to cross the auction block this month.
Listed by Iconic Auctioneers, the Defender has covered just over 6000km since new, and is estimated to fetch between £65,000 and £80,000 ($AU126,000 and $AU155,000) when the hammer falls.
As the production of the original-shape Defender came to an end, Land Rover produced three final-edition ranges to commemorate the iconic badge: Adventure, Autobiography and Heritage.
Limited to just 400 examples, the Heritage took inspiration from early Land Rovers with a Grasmere Green body, Alaskan White roof, green steel wheels, and a heritage-style front grille.
On the inside, it features almond-coloured upholstery with heritage logos embossed in the seats, alongside a perforated leather steering wheel, and aluminium accents across the cabin.
The auction listing says Rowan Atkinson added a factory tow bar, alarm, and air conditioning during his ownership.
The Defender makes use of a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine, paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
Rowan Atkinson’s Defender 100 Heritage Edition is due to cross the auction block at the Iconic Auctioneers Race Retro Sale in Stoneleigh, UK, on 24 February 2024.
