Toyota Australia pumps up pricing for popular the 2024 LandCruiser 300 Series four-wheel-drive and Camry sedan.

Toyota Australia has increased the price for the 2024 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series and Camry by as much as $3775 with no update to equipment.

According to a spokesperson for Australia’s best-selling car maker in 2023, “these changes are due to increased costs and inflationary pressures both locally and overseas”, and “Toyota is committed to keeping price increases to a minimum”.

It is LandCruiser buyers that are hit the hardest, with the entire range up $3775 to now start at $98,076 before on-road costs for the base GX variant.

Likewise, each of the other grades are up the same amount, meaning the GXL ($109,876, VX ($122,076), Sahara ($139,276), GR Sport ($145,876), and Sahara ZX ($146,876) are now pricier than before – all before on-road costs.

This places much more space between the LC300 and its arch-rival, the Nissan Patrol, which is priced from $84,900 plus on-road costs for the Ti, to $101,160 plus on-road costs for the top-of-the-range Warrior.

As a reminder, the LandCruiser 300 Series is powered by a 3.3-litre turbo-diesel V6 sending 227kW/700Nm to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, the evergreen Camry cops a price rise of between $731 and $1097 ahead of an all-new model launch expected later this year.

The base Ascent is up just $731 to $35,051, and uses a 152kW/243Nm 2.5-litre petrol engine that powers the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The remainder of the Camry range – all hybrids – are up $1097 each, with the Ascent, Ascent Sport, SX and SL now priced from $37,917, $40,717, $44,117, and $51,417 respectively, all before on-road costs.

Camry hybrids are powered by a 2.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid system with a total output of 160kW, paired with a continuously variable transmission.

While wait times for some versions of the LandCruiser 300 Series and Camry have blown out to two years, Toyota Australia has flagged delivery delays as an area of improvement in 2024, aiming to cut down the time from order to handover to less than six months.
