To do that, the American bike maker has taken the wraps off the 2024 Roadmaster Elite. It follows the previous Elite models, boasting several upgrades over the standard model. They range right from the aesthetics to rider and pillion comfort for long-haul riding. Also, the new tourer marks the company’s collaboration with two renowned custom paint shops, Gunslinger Custom Paint (GCP) in Colorado and Custom Painted Vehicles (CPV) out of Wisconsin.

The Indian Roadmaster Elite Has A Distinct Triple-Tone Livery
In 1904, Indian debuted its iconic red paint. 120 years later, the company is paying homage to the finish with the Roadmaster Elite’s bespoke Indian Motorcycle Red paint scheme. It comprises Indian Motorcycle Red Candy, Dark Indian Motorcycle Red Candy, and Black Candy shades. This, along with the hand-painted golden stripes, is all done in partnership with the above-mentioned custom shops. You can find the golden accents on the bodywork, engine, tank, and panniers. The final touch is a set of distinct alloy wheels. These have a silver-black finish for extra pizzazz.

The Indian Roadmaster Elite Produces 126 Pound-Feet Of Torque
Under the skin, the Roadmaster Elite has Indian’s Thunderstroke 116 V-twin engine. It’s armed with liquid cooling and an 11:1 compression ratio to churn out 126 pound-feet of torque. The power reaches the wheel via a six-speed transmission. Since that’s enough torque to launch you into outer space, you get ride modes to calm things down in seconds.
The engine is nestled inside a double-cradle chassis. It suspends on 46 mm telescopic forks and an air-adjustable monoshock, which work in tandem with 19/16-inch alloy wheels. To no one’s surprise, the Elite is quite hefty. It tips the scales at a whopping 858 pounds dry and 890 pounds with its 5.5-gallon tank fully filled. Luckily, the saddle height is just 26.5 inches, so at least you’ll have both your feet on the road to manage the heft.

Only 350 units of the Indian Roadmaster Elite will go on sale, each priced at $41,999 in the U.S. and CAD 49,999 in Canada. At this price, the Elite costs $9,000 more than the standard Roadmaster. Yes, that’s a big jump, but it’s something the exclusivity justifies well. Not to mention, the company claims each example takes over 24 hours to paint, so the finish levels should be enough to make your fellow cruiser buddies green with envy.
