The photo of the passive-aggressive act was posted online – with some users quick to defend the inexperienced driver’s mistake.
A learner driver in Perth was left feeling shocked after finding a note left on the windscreen of their vehicle, which mocked the inexperienced motorist’s imperfect parking.
The anonymous letter can be seen with a drawing of a turtle and the message: “Many three-year-olds have trouble staying within the lines. Maybe if you practice colouring this turtle, it will help with your parking,” written on the paper.
The flawed positioning of the Mazda 3 sedan was photographed at Galleria Shopping Centre in Morley – a suburb approximately eight kilometres northeast of Perth – and uploaded to the online forum Reddit.
The post gained more than 1000 upvotes and many comments – with most online users coming to the defence of the novice driver.
“For goodness sake, the car has an L-plate showing,” one Reddit commenter said while another remarked, “99.999 per cent of the car is well within the lines. Colouring-in book or not.”
However, not everyone was understanding of the L-plater’s mistake – with others criticising the supervising driver’s decision not to rectify the issue and leave the vehicle as is.
“A licensed driver is in the car with the learner and it’s their responsibility to make sure things like this don’t happen. There’s absolutely no excuse for this,” an online user argued.
