Just ordered! New 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn Price Shocker

[ad_1]

If you are out shopping for a new truck, you’ll be shocked like I was when I found out the new 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn price I’m going to pay.

Every year I try to buy a new truck for the business. It works out great for new videos, comparison videos and I get to experience all the new owner pain points with a new truck. This year, I decided to buy a 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn.

For those who follow the business closely, you know I also want a 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trail Hunter. This year might be a split year with getting both.

2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn Price Shocker

Sitting down with the salesman, I was able to order the truck with the features I wanted. Interestingly, there was a price listed as well. While it was supposedly leaked a few weeks prior, I know have a real price.

First, it is a crew cab, 5’7″ bed, 4WD with the new 3.0-liter inline 6 “Hurricane” turbo engine. That engine produces 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. The maximum payload is 2,000 pounds and max towing of 11,580 pounds depending on trim level and features added on.

I went with cloth seats, Ram boxes, towing packages and a technology package.

Also, I opted for the Big Horn equipment package 2.

This all added up to $72,575 plus whatever destination charge they will tack onto the purchase.

I know it is way too much for a Ram Big Horn, but I wanted all the bells and whistles for more things to review. Also, I’m going to learn more on pricing in a few weeks and I’m told the pricing has actually gone down with the way they have packaged things.

I’ve uploaded all the packages, prices and information I have into a PDF here.

The new 2025 Ram 1500 goes into production February 12, 2024 and I’ve been told the Big Horn trim will be one of the first off the line.

Why go with the 2025 Ram 1500?

My buying reasons for the Ram 1500 are pretty simple.

First, I’ve wanted a Ram truck for a few years now and I had already bought a 2021 Ford F-150, 2022 Toyota Tundra and a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500. The only options left were a GMC Sierra 1500 or a Nissan Titan.

The Nissan Titan is out since they aren’t building it anymore and the GMC Sierra 1500 is just too close to the Chevy Silverado 1500.

Next, the Ram 1500 and the 2024 Ford F-150 were the newest full-size trucks on the market this year for significant changes (not just a new paint color). That further narrowed it down.

I reached out to Ford to find out production dates and I wasn’t given a really firm date. The Ram 1500, I was given a firm date on production and an idea when I might get it. This really cinched the deal.

The bottom line

This is going to be pretty fun experiencing owning a Ram 1500 for the first time. What do you think? Smart choice or dumb decision?
