The bikemaker recently introduced its first near-1000cc superbike, and now, we have a new 450cc offering from the brand, the 2024 SRK 450 RC. It’s received a sizable update to launch an attack on new European and Japanese offerings. Here’s what you need to know.

The QJ Motor SRK 450 RC Has A New 449cc, Twin-Cylinder Engine
Diving head first, the SRK 450 RC now boasts an upgraded twin-cylinder engine. The cubic capacity rises from 399cc to 449cc (thanks to a bigger 58.4 mm stroke), which helps bump the output to 52.5 horsepower and 31.7 pound-feet. Here, the former is higher than all your favorite sub-500cc sport bikes, such as the Kawasaki Ninja 400, CFMoto 450SR, KTM RC 390, and the new Aprilia RS 457. QJ also claims the SRK weighs 381 pounds–. The power reaches the wheel via a six-speed transmission, meanwhile.

Quality Underpinnings Come Standard On The QJ Motor SRK 450RC
The engine sits inside a bespoke perimeter-type tubular chassis carved from steel. This is partnered with 43 mm upside-down forks and a monoshock, where only the rear has adjustability. You also get 17-inch alloy wheels that house dual disc brakes up top and a single rotor outback, each with Nissin calipers. A special mention goes to the staggering aluminum single-sided swingarm (a rarity in the segment). It also explains the relatively heavier 381-pound weight–a figure that’s lower than the Aprilia but marginally higher than the Kawasaki and CFMoto (such setups weigh more than double-sided swingarms). Don’t fret, though, as the saddle height is an accessible 31.4 inches.

In addition, you also get a pretty standout design. Yes, we know the fascia has hints of the BMW S 1000 RR and the Ducati Panigale, but there’s no denying it’s quite distinct. We also like the sizable aerodynamic wings with a forged carbon fiber finish. There are three liveries on offer–white-red, silver-green, black–none too flashy or in your face.
Impressed? Then, you’ll be bummed to know QJ has yet to announce the SRK in international markets. It’s been present in China for a while, but there’s no word on whether it’s coming to Europe or America. But we know the brand is expanding its presence here fast, so never say never.
