Unless you’re living under a rock, you’d know the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is one of the best mid-capacity cafe racers you can buy. It is gorgeous, fast enough for serious fun, and easy on the pocket, all of which work well to boost its popularity around the world. Now, its fan following is about to increase even more, as the GT has landed a role in Hollywood. That too, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Featured In Marvel’s Echo Series
The cafe racer has made its Hollywood debut in Marvel’s new series ‘Echo’. You can see the lead character–Alaqua Cox–riding the Continental GT in the trailers, where one scene even shows the dual-pod instrument cluster with ‘Enfield’ insets. It’s not a stock GT, though. We can see a bespoke livery, which comprises all-black bodywork, with copper-color insets for a punchy contrast. The wheels have knobby tires for a beefed-up appearance, while the bulky two-into-two exhaust has made way for a two-into-one custom unit. Heat-resistant ropes wrap the headers for a rugged look.
This might be the first time we’ve seen an RE 650 featured in a Hollywood series/movie, but you should know the brand is not new to these kinds of promotions. It’s one of the most popular picks in its local market, where Indian-made movies commonly feature Enfields. Whereas, Hollywood moviemakers usually prefer flagship superbikes. For instance, the new Top Gun featured the Kawasaki Ninja H2 R in the hands of Tom Cruise, while Gal Gadot rode a Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR in Heart Of Stone.

Like what you see? Then, you can feel like Cox for just $6,349. That’s the starting price of the 2023 Continental GT 650 in America, which goes up to $7,149 depending on the colorway. For the money, the GT spoils you with a 648cc, twin-cylinder engine. It’s good for 47 horsepower and 38 pound-feet, all of which kicks in early in the rev range. We found the powerhouse smooth and punchy during our road test review of the GT 650. The slick six-speed transmission adds to the experience.
Though we’re happy to recommend the cafe racer, you should know RE is yet to launch its updated version in America. The 2023 version–sold in India, Europe, and Britain–comes with new color options, blacked-out mechanicals, and alloy wheels as standard. You also get adjustable levers, new switchgear, and a USB port. So if you’re looking to buy the Continental, we’d suggest you wait for the new model to hit American dealerships.
