The 2025 GMC Yukon refresh has been officially confirmed and here’s what I think you can expect.
During a year-end earnings call, GM said it will continue its “momentum” with new models like the 2025 Chevy Tahoe, 2025 Chevy Suburban, 2024 Chevy Traverse and a 2025 GMC Yukon.
It is also likely the GMC Yukon refresh has been done for a while and was just pushed back as a byproduct of the UAW strike.

2025 GMC Yukon refresh
A refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon will likely inherit a lot of the same changes the Tahoe and Suburban have for the 2024 model year.
Notably, the Tahoe and Suburban saw the new 3.0-liter LZ0 Duramax diesel replacing the older diesel as well being added to more trims like the off-road Z71. With a new facia design, the GMC Yukon AT4 Duramax diesel should be a reality.
Also, a new dash layout should improve visibility, new technology like the cabin cameras detecting movement, new 24” wheels for the Denali Ultimate trims, new seating material (hopefully more comfortable) and new upscale interior materials.
There is also a new proximity sensor for the rear hatch that will open automatically when you near it with your key in your pocket.
Most of these changes will have a bigger impact on the higher trims since those come standard with more of the optional equipment.
Pricing will likely go up by a few hundred dollars for base trims and several thousand on higher trims since that’s the way things have been going for a while.
The bottom line
When the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban were revealed, most everyone expected the 2025 GMC Yukon would be announced shortly thereafter. Now it looks like that plan was pushed back and we will still get a new Yukon before year end.
